Bought one at Best Buy for $199.00. Then found it here for 1/2 that, so I bought one for our family room too. Sounds great.
But it also added a lot to all the music I play. I never realized what a difference a subwoofer would make. Bose doesn't make subwoofers so I searched Amazon and based on everyone's comments chose this one. A salesman at Bose recommended I add one to my system. He said that it would really enhance the sound from movies and it did just that. I am very pleased. I realalize I could have spent hundreds of dollars more and am very satisfied.
Alone, I don't think it would be strong enough for my taste.Pro's: Built solid. But the biggest thing is that you can't turn the "gain" up past 50% or so because you will hear a lot of distortion.Watched Terminator Salvation last night. Together they sound really good. Ok. Thats hits real good and sounds real nice. All in all. If you take off the grill it goes away.
but the other sounds fine.
Looks good.
but I also have 2 of these.Would have gone with a Polk 12" like the 505.
First of all I have to let you know that I purchased 2 of these for my Man-Cave.
Sounded really good, nice bass.
Sounds good for less than $100.Con's: Can only have the "gain" up to 50%, any higher and it sounds distorted.
The grill on one of my subs rattles when the base hits real hard.
i think that's what my brother has.
I am happy with them, but I wish they were able to do what is expected of them.
The performance and sound are very impressive, the only dislike is I would like to have had an on/off switch for times when I don't want the bass. I can work around the problem. A very good buy for the price.
this is a great sub for the price it sounds wonderful added to my system. great bass movies sound and feel much better now that i have added a powered sub.
